Responding to Questions

Answering Questions During Lecture:

Your clicker/remote will usually be used to answer questions using the keypad numbers 1-9.
When a question is asked in lecture via a powerpoint slide, you will also be given a list of answers from which to choose what you believe is the best answer. You will press the corresponding answer button on your remote.
The remote will reply with a solid green indicator light once the computer has received and recorded your answer.
The indicator light will blink a yellow/red light when the button has been pressed but the computer did not record your answer.
Simply press your answer button again until you receive a green light reply.
If you battery is low, the green signal will flash much longer than normal.
If your light is continuously showing yellow even though you did not press a button, return your clicker to the bookstore for a new unit.
DO NOT PRESS the GO button unless you are resetting the channel. Doing this during class when you are trying to answer a question will prevent you from sending a signal.
